Über PDF zu Excel
PDF to Excel finds tabular data in a PDF and writes it to an .xlsx workbook, mapping detected tables onto sheets. Row and column boundaries are inferred from the position of text on the page, since a PDF carries no table structure of its own.
Table detection and the workbook build both happen locally. Commercial figures are never transmitted to any service.
PDF zu Excel verwenden
- Open a PDF that contains tabular data.
- Extract — detected tables are mapped to sheets in the workbook.
- Open the result and check the column boundaries against the source page.
- Correct any row that was split or merged incorrectly before relying on the numbers.
In der Produktion
A rental quote arrives as a PDF with ninety line items that need to sit in the budget as numbers, not as a scan to read across. Retyping it is an hour and introduces errors; extracting the table takes seconds and the figures can then be checked against the original.
Häufige Fragen
- How reliable is the extraction?
- Tables with visible ruling lines and consistent spacing extract very accurately. Tables separated only by whitespace, or with cells spanning several rows, are where mistakes concentrate.
- What happens with a table that runs across several pages?
- Each page's portion is detected separately, so a long table can arrive as several blocks with repeated headers. Joining them in Excel afterwards is usually a single paste.
- Should I check the output before using it?
- Always, for anything financial. Compare a few rows and the column totals against the PDF — a boundary misread one column to the left produces numbers that look plausible and are wrong.
