Über TIFF zu PDF
TIFF to PDF converts single and multi-page TIFF images into a PDF document. Multi-page TIFFs expand to one PDF page each in their stored order, and the original bit depth is preserved rather than being reduced to screen-quality output.
Image data is read from disk into memory and embedded locally. Large scans never leave the machine, which also makes the conversion fast.
TIFF zu PDF verwenden
- Add TIFF files. Up to a hundred can be queued, and multi-page files are expanded automatically.
- Set the target page size, or keep the image dimensions as the page dimensions.
- Check the order if you have queued several files, since it determines the sequence in the output.
- Convert and download the assembled PDF.
In der Produktion
Building surveys and floor plans for a location arrive as multi-page TIFFs, because that is what architectural scanners produce. Nobody on a recce can open one on a phone. Converting the set to PDF makes the plans viewable by everyone who needs them without special software.
Häufige Fragen
- Does converting reduce the image quality?
- The image data is embedded rather than re-rendered, so the pixels that go in are the pixels that come out. File size follows from the source resolution, which is why scanned plans produce large PDFs.
- How are multi-page TIFFs handled?
- Each page inside the TIFF becomes a page of the PDF, in the order the file stores them. A ten-page TIFF produces a ten-page PDF with no need to split it first.
- Are CMYK TIFFs supported?
- Yes, though colour will be converted for display. If the file is destined for a print bureau rather than the screen, confirm the colour handling with them before treating the PDF as final.
