Reporting Illegal Content
Notify us of illegal content under the EU Digital Services Act — no account needed
Anyone — with or without an account — can report content on Cine Power Planner that they believe is illegal or breaks the Terms of Service. The report form at /report-content collects what the Digital Services Act (Art. 16) asks for, confirms receipt by email with a reference number, and a person reviews every notice. Every public page that shows someone's content (shared catalogues, call sheets, quotes, signing pages, gear-request quotes, sub-rental requests and return requests) carries a 'Report illegal content' link that opens the form with the page address already filled in.
Where to Report
Two ways in — both reach the same person.
- 'Report illegal content' link
- At the bottom of every public page that shows someone's content — a shared rental catalogue, call sheet, quote, signing page, gear-request quote, sub-rental request or return request. It opens the form in a new tab with the page address already filled in.
- /report-content
- The form itself, also linked from the Imprint and the landing page footer. No login is needed.
- support@cine-power-planner.com is the single point of contact for authorities and users, in German or English. Messages are read by a person.
Tips
- Use the link on the page you are reporting — it fills in the exact address, which is the single most useful piece of information in a notice.
Filling In the Form
The fields follow Art. 16(2) of the Digital Services Act.
- Exact location (URL)
- The full web address of the content, starting with https://.
- Category
- Copyright or other intellectual property, personal data or privacy, defamation or insult, hate speech or incitement, child sexual abuse material, other illegal content, or a violation of the Terms of Service.
- Why it is illegal
- At least 30 characters explaining which content is affected and why — for example which law or right it violates.
- Name and email
- Required, so receipt can be confirmed and the decision sent to you. Optional only for child sexual abuse material, which can be reported anonymously.
- Good-faith statement
- A checkbox confirming you believe in good faith that the notice is accurate and complete.
Tips
- Be specific: 'my photo appears as the header image' is far easier to act on than 'this page infringes my rights'.
What Happens Next
Every notice is reviewed by a person — nothing is decided solely by automated means.
- After sending, the page shows your reference number (CN-XXXXXX).
- If you gave an email address, a confirmation with the reference and a summary arrives right away.
- The notice is reviewed diligently and objectively, and a decision is made without undue delay.
- You receive the decision by email, with the reasons and your options to challenge it.
- If the content is restricted, the person who posted it receives a statement of reasons as well.
Tips
- Keep the reference number — quote it if you write to support@cine-power-planner.com about the notice.
- We delete a notice 6 months after our decision. If a complaint or legal dispute about the decision is still open, it is kept until that is closed.
- If a shared link is disabled after a notice, the content is locked: every live link stops working and the owner cannot publish it again until the lock is lifted (for example after a successful appeal).
Challenging a Decision
Both the person who sent the notice and the person whose content is affected can challenge a decision.
- Reply to the decision email within six months to have the decision reviewed again (voluntary internal review).
- Out-of-court dispute settlement bodies under Art. 21 of the Digital Services Act are not available here: as a micro enterprise we are exempt from that rule (Art. 19).
- Go to court — the other options do not take that right away.
Tips
- The Terms of Service, section 7, describe how content moderation works in full.
Reports about bugs or missing features belong in the Help panel's Support tab, not in this form — this form is only for content you believe is illegal or breaks the Terms.
