Managing Your Subscription
Where your Pro subscription lives, and how to change or cancel it
Your Pro subscription is managed wherever you bought it: through the App Store on iPhone and iPad, or through our payment provider on the web and desktop. This topic covers subscribing, restoring a purchase, changing or cancelling, and what happens if you delete your account.
What Pro unlocks
Pro removes the free-tier caps and unlocks Accounting, Data Management and your own PDF accent colour; everything else is on both tiers. Where you subscribe decides who handles the payment, but the subscription itself always belongs to your account.
- Free tier
- 2 active projects at a time, 5 lifetime Power Calculator runs, 2 lifetime time-tracking project activations, and 1 template. The project counter tracks ACTIVE projects — archived and Trash projects still occupy a slot; permanently deleting from Trash frees one. The calculator and time-tracking counters never reset.
- Pro
- Removes all four caps and unlocks Accounting (invoices, quotes, expenses, banking, cash book, tax filings), Data Management and your own PDF accent colour. PDF export, calculators, collaboration and cloud sync are on both tiers. Without Pro, Accounting shows 'Accounting requires a subscription'; your accounting data stays stored and synced.
Tips
- The price you see in the app is set by Apple for your country and already includes local tax, so it can differ from what someone in another country sees.
- The Free or Pro badge next to your name at the bottom of the sidebar shows which plan your account is on.
Subscribing on iPhone or iPad
Subscriptions are handled entirely by the App Store. The app never sees or stores your payment details.
- Sign in to your Cine Power Planner account first. The subscription is attached to that account, so without signing in there is nothing to attach it to.
- Open the upgrade prompt — either from Settings → Account → Plan status, or from the message that appears when you reach a free-tier limit.
- Choose the monthly or annual plan. Apple's purchase sheet appears with the price for your country.
- Confirm with Face ID, Touch ID or your Apple Account password.
- Pro unlocks as soon as the purchase is confirmed. If it does not appear immediately, use 'Refresh status' on the Plan status page.
Tips
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account, and the subscription renews automatically unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the period ends.
- If you dismiss Apple's purchase sheet nothing is charged and nothing changes — you can start again any time.
Restoring a purchase
Use Restore when you already paid but this device or account is not showing Pro — after reinstalling the app, switching to a new iPhone, or signing in again.
- Sign in to the same Cine Power Planner account you used when subscribing.
- Go to Settings → Account → Plan status and tap 'Restore purchases'.
- Confirm with your Apple Account if prompted.
Tips
- Restore is free and safe to run at any time — it never charges you and never starts a second subscription.
- A restore that finds nothing is still a successful restore. If Pro does not appear afterwards, check that you are signed in to the right account and that the same Apple Account made the original purchase.
Managing or cancelling
An App Store subscription is managed by Apple, not inside the app. 'Manage in the App Store' on the Plan status page opens the right screen directly.
- Switching between the monthly and annual plan is done on that same Apple screen.
- Cancelling stops the automatic renewal. You keep Pro until the end of the period you already paid for.
- Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us — request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Settings → Account → Plan status → 'Manage in the App Store'.
- Alternatively, on your device: Settings app → tap your name → Subscriptions → Cine Power Planner.
Important
Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription. Only cancelling it in your Apple Account subscription settings stops the renewal.
One subscription, every device
Pro is tied to your Cine Power Planner account, not to a single device or platform.
- Subscribe once and Pro is active everywhere you sign in — iPhone, iPad, the web app and the desktop app.
- This is why signing in before subscribing matters: it is the account that carries the subscription.
Tips
- Do not subscribe a second time on another platform. If Pro is not showing somewhere, sign in with the same account and use 'Refresh status' — subscribing again would simply charge you twice.
Deleting your account
Deleting your Cine Power Planner account removes your data from our servers. It cannot reach into your Apple Account.
- Cancel the subscription (Settings app → your name → Subscriptions → Cine Power Planner → Cancel).
- Download your data and tax records from the delete-account screen.
- Then delete the account.
Important
If you subscribed through the App Store, deleting your account does NOT cancel that subscription and Apple will keep billing you. Cancel it in your Apple Account subscription settings first, then delete the account.
Subscribing on the web or Android
Outside the App Store the subscription is handled by Stripe instead, and it behaves the same way: one subscription, tied to your account, active on every device you sign in to.
- Payment method changes, plan switches and cancellation go through the Stripe Customer Portal, linked from Settings → Account → Plan status.
- Manage a subscription where you bought it: an App Store subscription is managed at Apple, a Stripe one in the Stripe portal. The app shows the correct button for your subscription automatically.
Pro removes the free-tier caps and unlocks Accounting, Data Management and the PDF accent colour. On iPhone and iPad, Apple handles the payment, the renewal and any refund; the app only reflects the resulting subscription status on your account.
