About Delete Pages
Removes selected pages and writes out the remainder. Pick pages on the numbered page tiles, with quick picks for odd, even or the inverse, or type ranges; the tool counts your selection before you commit.
Deletion happens in memory in your browser, and the file you download is rebuilt from the pages you keep — the deleted ones are never written to it.
How to use Delete Pages
- Load the document.
- Mark the pages to remove on the numbered tiles, or enter ranges such as 3,8,14-16.
- Check the selected count. The tool will not delete every page — at least one always remains.
- Delete and download the trimmed PDF.
On a production
Scanners insert blank versos. Exported schedules carry a trailing legend nobody reads. Signed contracts arrive with the signature page duplicated. Deleting the noise before a document is circulated saves everyone downstream the same moment of confusion.
Frequently asked questions
- Can I undo a deletion?
- The tool writes a new file and never modifies your original, so the undo is simply your source document, still on disk exactly as it was.
- Is there a faster way to strip blank pages?
- Yes — Remove Blank Pages detects them automatically, including near-blank scans with speckle. Use this tool when the pages you want gone are not blank, just unwanted.
- What happens to bookmarks and links pointing at deleted pages?
- They are removed. Bookmarks and links to the pages you keep are moved to the new page numbers, so the outline and the cross-references between the remaining pages keep working.
- Is anything of a deleted page still hidden in the file?
- No. The tool builds a new PDF from the pages you keep instead of merely unlinking the others, so a deleted page's text, images, comments and form values are not written — not even as unused objects. A form field that sat only on deleted pages goes with them; fields on the pages you keep stay fillable and keep their values.
- What else does the new file leave out?
- Attachments, scripts, page labels, the tags screen readers rely on and XMP metadata are not carried over, because each of them can hold content from the whole document. Title, author, subject, keywords and language stay. An encrypted PDF — including one that only restricts printing or copying — is refused rather than written as a file nothing can open.
