About Excel To PDF
Excel to PDF renders .xlsx and .xls spreadsheets as PDF pages. Multiple sheets are converted in workbook order, and the page layout controls determine how wide sheets are divided across pages rather than being silently cropped.

Frequently asked questions
- What happens to a sheet that is wider than the page?
- It is divided across multiple pages according to the layout setting. Landscape orientation, or setting a print area in Excel before converting, usually gives a more readable result than the default.
- Are formulas preserved?
- No, and that is the point of converting. The PDF captures the calculated values as they stood, which is what makes it a record rather than a live document that recalculates on open.
- Are hidden rows, columns and sheets included?
- Hidden content is not rendered. Anything that must appear in the PDF needs to be visible in the workbook before conversion, so it is worth unhiding and checking first.
