About Fix Page Size
Resizes every page to one standard format — A4, Letter, A3, Legal and the rest — scaling content to fit while preserving its aspect ratio, so nothing is stretched or cropped.
Scaling is applied to the page geometry in your browser; content streams are copied through and nothing is uploaded.
How to use Fix Page Size
- Load the document — run Page Dimensions first if you want to see what you are dealing with.
- Choose the target size and orientation.
- Decide whether to scale content to fit or centre it at its original scale with new margins.
- Apply and download.
On a production
A merged document with mixed A4 and Letter pages prints with inconsistent margins and jams tray-selecting printers. Normalising to one size before it goes to print is what makes the whole stack behave.
Frequently asked questions
- Will content be cropped?
- No. Content is scaled proportionally to fit inside the new page, so a shape change produces margins rather than a crop. Nothing is cut off.
- A4 and Letter are nearly the same — does this matter?
- For printing, yes. They differ in both dimensions, so a printer set to one and fed the other either scales silently or refuses. Normalising removes that variable.
- Can different pages get different target sizes?
- Not in one pass, since the point is uniformity. Split, resize each part separately, then merge, if a document genuinely needs mixed sizes.
