About Fix Page Size

Resizes every page to one standard format — A4, Letter, A3, Legal and the rest — scaling content to fit while preserving its aspect ratio, so nothing is stretched or cropped.

Scaling is applied to the page geometry in your browser; content streams are copied through and nothing is uploaded.

How to use Fix Page Size

  1. Load the document — run Page Dimensions first if you want to see what you are dealing with.
  2. Choose the target size and orientation.
  3. Decide whether to scale content to fit or centre it at its original scale with new margins.
  4. Apply and download.

On a production

A merged document with mixed A4 and Letter pages prints with inconsistent margins and jams tray-selecting printers. Normalising to one size before it goes to print is what makes the whole stack behave.

Frequently asked questions

Will content be cropped?
No. Content is scaled proportionally to fit inside the new page, so a shape change produces margins rather than a crop. Nothing is cut off.
A4 and Letter are nearly the same — does this matter?
For printing, yes. They differ in both dimensions, so a printer set to one and fed the other either scales silently or refuses. Normalising removes that variable.
Can different pages get different target sizes?
Not in one pass, since the point is uniformity. Split, resize each part separately, then merge, if a document genuinely needs mixed sizes.
