About Organize PDF

Rearranges pages into any order you specify. Type the new sequence into the Page Order field as page numbers separated by commas or spaces — 5, 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 puts page five first. List every page you want to keep: a range such as 1-4 is ignored rather than expanded, and pages omitted from the sequence are dropped.

Reordering happens in your browser: the tool builds a new document from the pages in your sequence, copies their content unchanged and uploads nothing.

How to use Organize PDF

Load the PDF. The tool shows no page previews, so keep the document open in a viewer to read off the page numbers.
Type the new order into Page Order, one number per page — 3, 1, 2, 4 or 3 1 2 4. A page listed twice appears twice.
Click Reorganize Pages and read the result line: it says how many pages the new file holds out of the original count, so a page left out shows up there.
Save the reordered document, or choose Change settings to correct the sequence and run it again.

On a production

Documents assembled from several sources arrive in the order they were scanned, not the order they should be read. Putting the summary first and the appendices last is the difference between a document people read and one they file.
