About PDF Multi-Tool
Multi Tool applies up to four fixes to one PDF in a single pass: Rotate Pages, Delete Pages, Reverse Order and Flatten. Switch on the ones you need and set their options; the document is read once and written once, so several fixes cost one download.
The document is edited in browser memory and never uploaded. When you delete pages or reverse the order, the new file is built only from the pages that remain, so nothing of a deleted page is written into it.
How to use PDF Multi-Tool
- Load the PDF. The tool works on one document at a time.
- Switch on what you need. Rotate Pages turns every page by 90° clockwise, 180° or 90° counter-clockwise; Delete Pages removes the page numbers you type, separated by commas; Reverse Order flips the whole sequence; Flatten turns form fields into fixed page content.
- Switch them on in the order they should run — the tiles do not show that order. It matters for deleting and reversing: with Reverse Order switched on first, page 1 in the delete field is the original last page.
- Click Apply Operations and save the edited file. The original is not changed.
On a production
Paperwork that comes back from a scanner is rarely wrong in only one way. A delivery note arrives upside down, with a blank separator sheet in the middle, fed in last page first. Rotating it 180°, deleting the separator and reversing the order are three switches on one page here — with separate tools they would be three uploads and three downloads.
Frequently asked questions
- Why does the order I switch operations on matter?
- The operations run in that order, and the numbers typed for Delete Pages count the pages as they stand when the delete runs. Switch on Reverse Order first and deleting page 1 removes the original last page; switch on Delete Pages first and it removes the original first page. Rotate Pages and Flatten give the same result wherever they fall. To change the order, switch the operations off and on again in the sequence you want.
- Can I delete a range such as 3-5?
- No. The delete field reads single page numbers separated by commas, such as 1, 3, 5. A range counts as its first number — 3-5 deletes page 3 only — so list every page that should go. Deleting every page is refused, because at least one has to remain.
- What does Flatten do to form fields and comments?
- Form fields become part of the page: the values typed into them stay visible but can no longer be edited, and the fields leave the form. Comments are left as they are — a sticky note stays a note that anyone opening the file can read or delete.
