About PDF To WEBP

Renders PDF pages as WebP images — typically 25 to 35 percent smaller than an equivalent PNG at the same visual quality. Useful when the images are destined for the web or for anywhere bandwidth is the constraint.

Both the rendering and the WebP encoding run in your browser — nothing is uploaded to be re-encoded.

How to use PDF To WEBP

  1. Load the PDF.
  2. Set the DPI and the quality level.
  3. Choose the page range.
  4. Convert and download.

On a production

Thumbnail previews of documents in an internal tool, or page images embedded in a web-based schedule. WebP halves what has to be transferred without the quality cost that would come from pushing JPG harder.

Frequently asked questions

Is WebP supported everywhere?
In every current browser, yes. Older desktop software and some print workflows still do not read it — if the images are going into a print chain rather than onto a screen, PNG or JPG is the safer output.
Lossy or lossless?
The quality setting controls it. At maximum quality WebP is effectively lossless and still smaller than PNG; lower settings trade fidelity for size the way JPG does.
How does it compare with JPG?
Smaller at the same quality, and it handles sharp edges and text noticeably better. If you can accept the compatibility constraint, it is the better format.
