About PSD to PDF
PSD to PDF converts a Photoshop document, including a large-format PSB file, into a single-page PDF. The composite image is used, so the result matches what was visible with the layer visibility saved in the file rather than exporting layers separately.
Photoshop documents are decoded in the browser. Unreleased artwork stays on your machine, which matters more for design files than for most formats.
How to use PSD to PDF
- Upload one PSD or PSB file — the tool converts a single document per run.
- Click “Convert to PDF”. The PSD parser loads on first use, then the file is read and its composite rendered.
- The success message shows the pixel size and layer count. Download the PDF, then use “Start Over” for the next file.

A production designer's mood boards live as layered Photoshop files that only two people on the crew can open. Converting them to PDF makes the visual language of the show something the whole department can look at in a meeting, without anyone installing anything.
Frequently asked questions
- Are hidden layers included?
- No. The composite reflects the layer visibility saved in the file, so anything switched off in Photoshop when the document was last saved stays off in the PDF.
- Can I get one PDF page per layer?
- Not from this tool — it always produces one page with the flattened composite. Exporting layers as separate images from Photoshop first, then converting those with Image to PDF, is the route to a page-per-layer document.
- How big is the PDF page?
- Normally the page matches the canvas's pixel dimensions. If the canvas is more than twice the size of A4, the page is scaled down to fit A4; the image pixels are all kept, so you can still zoom into detail in the PDF.
- Why is my PSB taking so long?
- PSB exists for documents beyond the two-gigabyte PSD ceiling, and that data has to be decoded in memory. Very large canvases are slow for the same reason they are slow to open in Photoshop.
