About Sign PDF
Sign places a signature image onto any page of a PDF, positioned and scaled where you want it. Draw the signature with a mouse or a finger, or upload a transparent PNG of one you already have, then drop it onto the page and export.
Your signature image is held in the browser tab and is never uploaded. Close the tab and it is gone — it is not stored in an account or synced between devices.
How to use Sign PDF
- Load the document that needs signing.
- Create the signature — draw it in the pad, or upload a PNG with a transparent background for the cleanest result.
- Drag it onto the correct page and resize using the corner handles. Add a date field alongside it if the form has one.
- Export. The signature is flattened into the page so it cannot be dragged off by the recipient.

Deal memos, location releases, equipment handover sheets and sub-rental agreements all need a signature before the truck moves. Signing on a laptop at the unit base is the difference between a same-day return and a document that waits until Monday.
Frequently asked questions
- Is this a legally binding digital signature?
- No. This places a visual signature — the electronic equivalent of signing a printout and scanning it, which is accepted for most production paperwork. It is not a cryptographic signature backed by a certificate, so it will not show as verified in Acrobat's signature panel.
- How do I get a clean signature without a scanner?
- Draw it directly in the signature pad on a touchscreen or trackpad — the stroke is captured as vector data and stays sharp at any size. That avoids the grey box you get from photographing a signature on paper.
- Can I sign several documents with the same signature?
- Yes. The signature you create stays available for the session, so you can load the next document and place it again without redrawing.
