Why did some text not change colour?

Anything that looks like text but is actually part of an image cannot be recoloured, because there are no glyphs to address. Running OCR does not help either — that adds an invisible layer, not visible type.

Can I change the colour of just one paragraph?

About Text Color

Text Colour changes the colour of type already set in a PDF, either across the whole document or for a selection you make. The characters, font and position are untouched — only the fill colour of the glyphs is rewritten.

Glyph colour is rewritten in the document held in your browser. The text content itself is never read out, extracted or sent anywhere.

How to use Text Color

Open the PDF and choose whether to recolour everything or make a selection first.
Pick the target colour. Solid black is the safe choice for anything destined for a printer.
Preview the affected pages — text sitting inside images is not editable type and will not change.
Apply and download.

On a production

A schedule printed for a night shoot is unreadable under a red head torch when the type is mid-grey. Pushing the body text to solid black before printing costs nothing and is the difference between a document people use and one they hold up to a work light.
