About WEBP To PDF

Converts WebP images into a PDF. WebP comes in both lossy and lossless flavours and supports transparency and animation; the tool decodes all of these, taking the first frame of an animated file.

WebP decoding uses the browser's own image pipeline on your machine. Nothing is sent to a conversion service.

How to use WEBP To PDF

  1. Add your WebP files.
  2. Set page size and margins.
  3. Choose a background for any transparent regions.
  4. Convert and download.

On a production

WebP is what a browser hands you when you save an image from most modern websites. Reference imagery gathered for a look book or a lighting plan arrives in this format whether you asked for it or not.

Frequently asked questions

What happens to an animated WebP?
The first frame is used. A PDF page is static, so there is no meaningful way to embed the animation — extract the frame you want beforehand if the first is not the right one.
Does converting from WebP lose quality?
The image is decoded and re-embedded, so a lossy WebP goes through one additional encode. The loss is slight but real; if you still have the original JPG or PNG, converting from that instead avoids it entirely.
Why does WebP exist if JPG works?
It is substantially smaller at comparable quality, which is why the web adopted it. That advantage does not carry into PDF, where the image is re-encoded to a format PDF readers universally understand.
