Getting started

Is Cine Power Planner free?
Yes. The free plan includes up to 2 projects with cloud sync and real-time collaboration, the full 5,000+ device library, gear lists, and all browser tools. Pro starts at €2/month and lifts the limits.
Do I need an account to start?
No. Open it in your browser and start building gear lists and planning power right away. An account only adds cloud sync and collaboration across your devices.
Who is it for?
Film and TV crews, rental houses, and production companies — from solo shooters to full productions.
What languages is it available in?
English and German, across the whole app — including the in-app help and knowledge base. Pick your language in Settings › General, and choose the language of a PDF separately when you export one.

Gear & power

What is in the device library?
5,000+ cinema cameras, lenses, lights, monitors, wireless systems, and batteries with their power-draw and weight specs, so a build adds up without guesswork. You can add your own devices, or import them in bulk from a CSV file.
How does the power calculator work?
Put your camera build together and it totals the draw in watts, then tells you how long your battery bank lasts. The numbers come from the device library, so accessories are sized against real specs rather than estimates.
Can I build gear lists and hand them out as PDFs?
Yes. Build lists by category with quantities, weights, and notes, assemble complete camera packages, and export a clean PDF for the crew or the rental house. Gear lists and PDF export are part of the free plan.
Can I bring in data I already have?
Yes. Devices and contacts come in from CSV, scripts from Final Draft (.fdx), bank statements as CAMT.053 or CSV, and incoming e-invoices as XRechnung, ZUGFeRD, or Factur-X. A full JSON backup restores an entire workspace.
Can I share gear with someone who has no account?
Yes. Publish your rental catalogue as a public link and anyone with the URL can browse it in a browser — no account, no install. Inside the app, projects are shared with your crew for real-time collaboration instead.

Rentals & business

Does it handle rentals and sub-rentals?
Yes. Track what you rent in and out with dates, pricing, and returns, save your rental partners and pull their gear into quotes and lists, run prep and return checklists, and generate ATA carnet documents for international shoots.
Can I run my invoicing and bookkeeping in it?
Yes — quotes, invoices, delivery notes, expenses, receipts, and travel per-diems, plus budgets and reports. UStVA, ZM, and EÜR filings are prepared for Germany's ELSTER portal, and bookings export in DATEV format for your tax advisor.

Your data

Does it work offline?
Yes. It's a local-first app — everything is stored on your device and works without a connection. Your changes sync automatically when you're back online.
Is my data safe?
Your data lives on your device and, when sync is on, is encrypted in the cloud. You stay in control and can export everything at any time.
Can I get my data back out?
Whenever you want. Take a full JSON backup of your workspace, export PDFs for gear lists, call sheets, quotes, and invoices, and CSV or DATEV files for accounting. Nothing is locked in.
Where is my data stored?
On your device first. Turn cloud sync on and it syncs to our own self-hosted Supabase instance on Hetzner Cloud in Nuremberg, Germany — encrypted in transit, GDPR-compliant, and processed on our own server rather than a third-party backend.
What platforms does it run on?
Web as an installable app (PWA), a native Mac desktop app, and native Android and iOS builds — your workspace stays in sync across all of them.
