Share to App
Share to App
Send photos, PDFs, and e-invoices straight into Cine Power Planner from anywhere on your device — Photos, Files, Mail, a scanner app, or Finder — and file each one where it belongs.
Sharing something in
- iOS / Android: Tap Share on a photo, PDF, or e-invoice (XML/ZIP) and choose Cine Power Planner.
- macOS (desktop app): Right-click a file → Open With → Cine Power Planner, or drag it onto the app window.
The app opens a "What are you uploading?" screen listing every file you shared.
Choosing where each file goes
For each file, pick a category:
| Category | Where it goes |
|---|---|
| Receipt | A new expense draft, with the file attached |
| Vendor bill | A new expense draft with the bill toggle on (an e-invoice is read automatically — XML, ZIP, or a ZUGFeRD / Factur-X PDF) |
| Call sheet | The Day Brief AI import for a project you pick (or create) |
| Gear photo | Attached to an owned-gear item you search for |
You can share several files at once and give each its own category, or use Set all to… to apply one category to everything.
What the app tells you
Importing confirms what happened: how many files were filed, and — separately — any that were already imported. An "already imported" file is one whose invoice is in your books already; the app does not create a second copy of it, and it no longer counts it among the filed ones. Closing the screen tells you how many files moved to the Shared documents inbox, so a batch you park never disappears silently.
An already imported file is judged only against invoices you still have — delete one and the same file can be imported again. Until v0.703.52 a deleted invoice stayed blocked for good, while mailing the identical file to your inbox worked, because that route had always ignored deleted rows.
Before v0.703.51 none of this was said. Worse, a file recognised as already imported was counted as filed and its copy deleted — in the inbox, the uploaded document was removed from cloud storage too. An already-imported document now keeps its row in the inbox, labelled, and it is yours to delete when you want to.
The Shared documents inbox
Not sure yet? Choose Move rest to inbox (or just close the screen) — those files wait in your Shared documents inbox at /shared-documents. The inbox syncs across your devices, so a receipt you shared on your phone is there on your Mac too. Open it any time to file or delete each item.
When the sending app says nothing about the file
Some apps hand a file over with no type and no extension — a messaging attachment saved as
document, or an Android content link. The app now reads the first few bytes and identifies
PDFs, JPEGs, PNGs, GIFs, WebP and HEIC images that way, so those shares go through even when
the sender tells us nothing.
ZIP archives are deliberately excluded from that rescue. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, e-book
and Android app files all begin with the same signature as a Factur-X e-invoice .zip, so a
.zip still has to identify itself by its file type or its .zip extension. One that does is
accepted exactly as before.
Reading the content can only ever accept a file that would otherwise have been turned away — it never rejects one that used to work, and it does not check that a file's contents match its extension.
Notes
- Files up to 25 MB; images (incl. HEIC), PDF, and e-invoice XML/ZIP.
- A ZUGFeRD / Factur-X invoice is an ordinary PDF that also carries the invoice as structured data. Shared as a Vendor bill, it is read exactly the way Import e-invoice on the Expenses screen reads it: amount, VAT, date, supplier and invoice number are filled in, and an invoice you already filed is recognised rather than duplicated. Until v0.703.48 the share sheet was the one route that skipped this and left you a blank draft. A PDF with nothing embedded still becomes an ordinary bill draft with the file attached, exactly as before.
- Nothing is lost if the app was closed or locked when you shared — files are held safely until you deal with them.
- Deferring a file to the inbox uploads it to your private cloud storage so it can sync; a file you file immediately is never uploaded to the inbox.
